  • 4:30pm-2:30am M-Th $16.50 3rd shift 8:30pm-6:30am M-Th $18.50 Position Overview This position is responsible for operating compression molding and de-flashing equipment while assuring proper levels of quality and productivity in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. This position works under regular supervision. Essential Functions
  • Verifies that the presses have proper QA authorization or licenses prior to operation
  • Examines or inspects quality of the parts according to department processes and standards; checks for surface defects such as excessive flash, scratches, and breakage
  • Performs periodic visual inspections and gauging to assure conformity to specifications
  • Documents molding information on specified forms
  • Operates motorized equipment to transfer molding materials from the warehouse to the presses
  • Moves parts from press area to de-flashing area; inspects parts upon completion of de-flashing process
  • Assists in determining the availability of parts to ensure effective production scheduling and implementation
  • Performs material handling duties as necessary
  • Takes corrective measures to eliminate production of defective parts
  • Empties containers of molded parts into packaging machines as required
  • Cleans work areas using basic cleaning materials
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Loads products into packaging equipment; verifying compliance to specifications
  • Performs other duties as assigned Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Experience
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred Skills
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical adjustments
  • Ability to complete Powered Industrial Truck training offered by the organization
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instruction and apply to work standards
  • Ability to communicate in verbal and written English Physical Requirements
  • Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling
  • Ability to move your hand(s), your hand(s) together with your arm(s), or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
  • Ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds
  • Requires eye/hand/foot coordination
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
