Warehouse Associate (Cold Storage Environment)

MUST HAVE

Steel-toe boots (mandatory no exceptions ) Must be comfortable working in very cold environments (refrigerators and freezers) Must bring appropriate layered clothing for freezer work (candidates will be sent home if unprepared) Must be flexible with schedules Job Duties Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule Unload containers, trucks, and vehicles using conveyor belts and turntables Move, wrap, label, and store pallets in designated warehouse locations using a scanner connected to WMS Classify and handle frozen, refrigerated, and dry products Merge pallets with identical products or same destinations Transfer same-day shipping pallets to loading docks Load prepared pallets onto trucks as instructed by management Operate warehouse equipment such as Electric Jacks and High Reach (High Row) equipment Organize, clear, and maintain warehouse locations Attach pallet license plates prior to storage Clean containers, work areas, and equipment before and after shifts Unload containers sequentially as directed (average 8 containers per week) Work Environment Warehouse setting Extremely cold temperatures in fridges and freezers Steel-toe boots and layered clothing are required at all times Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlstadt, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
