DWK Life Sciences LLC (DWK) was formed through the merger of three industry leaders and provides the world's laboratories and production environments with the most comprehensive range of labware. Serving scientific research, technical applications, storage, and packaging needs, DWK manufactures a wide array of precision glassware and specialty products for the life sciences market. DWK also offers products and services (vials, ampules, stoppers, septa, seals, caps, bottles, tubes, flasks, and value-added services) to customers seeking packaging solutions. Revenue streams are driven by three primary channels: Global distributors, National distributors, and Direct field selling efforts. DWK supports four primary market segments: Laboratory, Pharmaceutical, Analytical Sciences, and Industrial glass.POSITION SUMMARY
: The position is responsible for the safe packing of materials as stated on production routings and bills of materials or as required by supervisor.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic; ability to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs, both manually and/or electronically; continuous mental and visual attention (eye-hand coordination); basic proficiency with personal computers. Performs entry level warehouse functions including pulling and packing materials for production or customer orders; receiving, shipping & stock storing. Utilizes hand held scanners and computer terminals to access and enter data Works under direct supervision, following standard operating procedures. Meets Productivity and Quality Goals Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner, while completing tasks on a timely basis. Keeps work area clean and well organized and assists in keeping entire facility in the same condition. Works within the guidelines of ISO and EHS. Understands the DWK Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives. Recognize his/her contribution to the effectiveness of the OPS including the benefits of improved performance and comprehend the impact or effect of not conforming with OPS. Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations and maintains work area in a clean and safe manner. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
High School diploma, GED or equivalent 6 months to 1 year experience working in a production/warehouse environment preferred Familiar with warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, storing and retrieving stock, and associated paperwork preferred Good math, reading, and communication skills required. Legible handwriting a must. Ability to work from verbal or written instructions required.WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
