Picker and Packer Job Description This role involves working in a small, temperature-controlled warehouse to accurately pick and pack items for shipment, support inventory activities, and assist with general material handling tasks. Responsibilities Pick items from warehouse locations according to order requirements and packing lists. Pack items securely and accurately to prepare them for shipment. Label, organize, and stage completed orders in the designated shipping area. Assist with basic shipping and receiving activities as needed. Support inventory tasks, including counting, organizing, and restocking items. Handle materials safely while moving, lifting, and positioning products. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Follow all warehouse procedures and work instructions to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Stand and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods to complete daily tasks. Essential Skills Experience with picking and packing items in a warehouse or similar environment. Knowledge of basic inventory practices, including counting and organizing stock. Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks at a general labor level. Capability to lift up to 20 lbs safely and repeatedly as needed. Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing job duties. Basic material handling skills, including moving and positioning products. Attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and packing. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions reliably. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a small warehouse environment is an advantage. Comfort working in a structured, process-driven setting. Willingness to assist with a variety of general labor tasks as needed. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Hill, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
