7 Sparks, NV Job Details Part-time From $14.25 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Machine operation High school diploma or GED Food preparation equipment operation Full Job Description Premium Freeze-Dried Amazingness We are a locally owned and operated commercial freeze dried candy, cheesecake and ice cream business looking for employees that are reliable and consistent. The work is simple and routine. We prep candy and bags, fill bags and box them. Employees need to be able to sit or stand for 3-5 hours at a time, be on time , have a high sense of urgency and be able to work fast. Looking for employees that are coachable, self starters and a team player with good communication skills. This is a small team so the right fit is important. Due to our recent expansion and new wholesale accounts, we are growing our production team!

Duties:
A good Production Worker is a self-motivated team player. They have the skills to successfully work in their assigned area and to keep it running efficiently. Work is of a routine nature and is mainly preparing and weighing candy and placing into bags and boxes, prepping food items for machines and any other tasks that need to be completed.
  • Operate and maintain food manufacturing equipment
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Weigh, bag, package, and label products according to specifications
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area which includes washing trays and maintaining cleanliness of machines
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred, but not required
  • Ability to operate food manufacturing equipment efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately/self starter
  • Physical stamina (standing all shift) and ability to bend/lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Able to work on your own for extended periods of time and stay on task
Responsibilities:
Set up for operation Operate equipment according to instructions Comply with all safety and health regulations (must be able to complete Food Handlers Course) Clean equipment and maintain cleanliness in work area. Wash trays, bowls, etc... as needed. Clean and sanitize surfaces. Any other duties assigned by your supervisor
Shift Commitment & Professional Standards Full-Shift Presence:
This position requires a consistent 5-hour commitment. Due to the time-sensitive nature of freeze-dried food manufacturing (specifically during "Dairy Days" and active production runs), employees must remain on-site and at their station for the duration of the shift.
Uninterrupted Production:
We are looking for a "locked-in" team member. This role is not suitable for those who need to manage outside personal errands, phone calls, or appointments during work hours.
Focused Work Environment:
To maintain our high food safety (GMP) and efficiency standards, the production floor is a phone-free and smoke-free zone .
Dedicated Break Time:
We provide one 15-minute paid rest break per shift, which is the designated time for phone use, snacks, and personal business in our front-office break area.
Punctuality:
Reliability is our #1 requirement. Being "on time" means being at your station and ready to start production at the beginning of the shift (9:00 AM Summer / 10:00 AM Winter).
