Role:
We are currently seeking Packers for all shifts. We are currently seeking Packers to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Scotia, NY. The Packer plays a critical role in ensuring that products are carefully and efficiently prepared for shipment to customers or storage. This position requires attention to detail to verify that items are correctly packed, labeled, and meet quality standards before leaving the facility. The Packer contributes to maintaining an organized and safe work environment by following established procedures and handling materials properly. This role supports the overall supply chain by helping to minimize damage during transit and ensuring timely delivery. Ultimately, the Packer helps uphold the company's reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction through meticulous packaging practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Basic reading and writing skills to understand packing instructions and labels. Physical capability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds safely. Willingness to follow safety protocols and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a packing, warehouse, or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with inventory management systems or barcode scanning technology. Basic knowledge of shipping regulations and packaging standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to operate packing machinery or equipment.
Responsibilities:
Inspect products for defects or damage before packing to ensure quality standards are met. Select appropriate packaging materials and methods based on product specifications and shipping requirements. Accurately label packages with necessary information such as contents, destination, and handling instructions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with warehouse and shipping teams to coordinate timely dispatch of orders. Record packing activities and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while handling materials and equipment.
