Job Description

Hickory Harvest Foods, located in Akron, OH, is a 3rd generation family owned business. Hickory Harvest Foods is a leading provider of products to retailers in the multi-billion dollar and growing healthy snacks sector.
SUMMARY:
Moves pallets of product on production floor and in the warehouse using electric and/or manual pallet jacks. Provides prompt and courteous service to employees. Function as back up for Material Handler and/or Production, as needed. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards. As needed, responsible for assuring the timeliness and accuracy of inventory cycle counts typically located in production facilities, distribution centers and/or warehouses.

6a-2:30p, Mon-Fri
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Stock and rotate product within the warehouse. Build orders using proper lifting and pallet stacking techniques. Ensure pulled orders are labeled correctly and no product or boxes are damaged. Match appropriate paperwork to supplies and put away to correct location. Stage required raw product and packaging for Line Supply Sort empty and damaged pallets for storage or removal. Keep work area clean, orderly and organized at all times; be responsible for housekeeping of storage areas and ensure proper stacking and shelving of inventories. Utilize computer systems and programs to preform basic lookups for materials and loading/unloading of trailers. Conduct cycle counts within applicable warehouses and report data on item counts. Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to inventory control activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
Skills:
Basic arithmetic Strong attention to detail Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills Ability to work occasional weekends as needed Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices Basic computer knowledge
RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Warehouse Manager Works closely with Production and Customer Service
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend, and use hands and fingers. This position requires the employee to be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English. In addition, the employee must be able to hear and have color vision. Case Picker Job Responsibilities, Priority List:
1. Pull orders and stage 1 day in advance of shipment 2. All product in the warehouse must have correct labeling 3. Appropriately stock and rotate product 4. Keep work area clean, orderly & organized 5. Run floor scrubbers, as needed
