Production & Packaging Associate (nights)

Job Summary:

The Utility Worker supports daily operations within Orlando Baking Company by performing a variety of tasks to ensure production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail while assisting in manufacturing processes and maintaining cleanliness standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utility Support
• Assist machine operators, technicians, and supervisors with daily tasks as needed.
• Follow instructions to complete assignments efficiently and effectively.
• Provide support to production lines as directed by supervisors
• Perform operational sanitation to maintain good housekeeping standard.
• Cleaning and Maintenance
• Perform area and equipment cleaning to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
• Contribute to sanitation efforts in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Team Collaboration
• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve production goals.
• Communicate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues.
• Support other departments or tasks as required.
• Safety and Quality Assurance
• Adhere to all safety protocols and practices.
• Monitor product quality, reporting any defects or inconsistencies promptly.
• Problem-Solving and Communication
• Seek guidance from supervisors or leads whenever necessary to ensure proper task execution.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
• Understand the quality of the product.

Physical Environment:

Lifting:

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

Standing:

Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.

Manual Dexterity:

Ability to handle and operate controls, tools, and machinery.

Mobility:

Ability to move freely throughout the production area and work in a fast-paced environment. Working Environment

Environment:

Industrial bakery setting with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, loud machinery, and the smell of baked goods.

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hairnets, and safety glasses must be worn as required.

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
