Responsibilities Assemble materials for shipment or components according to specifications and instructions on orders. Select materials from specific heats or for physical condition following order instructions. Count and record heat or test numbers or symbols, list random lengths, and provide other necessary information on orders as required. Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards in each job assignment. Perform all other duties as assigned, with responsibilities and activities subject to change at any time with or without notice. Essential Skills Pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspections, measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with hand tools. Experience with hand tools for banding and packaging material. Understand work order packaging specifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certified fork truck experience preferred. Crane experience preferred (sheet lifter, chains, slings, hoists, or hooks). Forklift Operation Certification
- Experience safely moving materials and staging orders in a production or warehouse environment. Overhead Crane / Hoist Experience
- Ability to use slings, chains, and lifting devices to handle metal materials. Basic Math Skills
- Comfortable with counting, measuring, and recording material data accurately. Measurement Tools Experience
- Ability to use tape measures and gauges to verify lengths, sizes, and specifications. Shipping & Receiving / Order Fulfillment Experience
- Familiar with picking, staging, and preparing orders for outbound shipment. Inventory Tracking / Documentation
- Experience recording lot numbers, heat numbers, or tracking materials through production. Mechanical Aptitude
- Comfortable working with metal products and understanding basic fabrication or processing concepts. Experience in Metals or Steel Industry (Preferred)
- Prior exposure to steel service centers, fabrication shops, or similar environments.

Work Environment Work in a standard manufacturing facility that is large and not climate-controlled. Join a team of approximately 40 people on the production floor. The dress code requires steel toe boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. The work hours are 1st Shift from 4am to 2:30pm Monday through Thursday and 2nd Shift from 2:30pm to 1am Monday through Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.19
