Warehouse Pickers & Packers

Job Overview :

As a Packer or a Picker Packer, is a warehouse employee responsible for fulfilling orders and preparing them for shipment. Their duties include interpreting order invoices to determine which items need to be sent out, performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.

Packer Responsibilities :

weighing packages and labeling them appropriately inspecting packages to ensure they are not damaged Assembling daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categories. Keeping records of packages including delivery notes, invoices etc... Filling out packing and order forms with the relevant information.

Packer Skills and Qualifications :

In depth knowledge of packing and shipping procedures. Fast paced environment Attention to detail Good communication skills Excellent organizational skills Picker Skills and qualifications : Order fulfillment: Locating and gathering products from storage to fill customer orders.

Accuracy and quality control:

Ensuring the correct items and quantities are picked and checking for any damage before shipment.

Scanning and documentation:

Using handheld scanners or lists to track items and update inventory records.

Packaging:

Shrink-wrapping, boxing, and preparing items for shipping.

Material handling:

Operating equipment like forklifts, dollies, and pallet jacks to move items.

Loading and unloading:

Loading goods onto trucks or conveyor systems.

Warehouse maintenance:

Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe, and assisting with stock replenishment.
