Full Job Description Job Posting TitleUtility Processor Job Description Job Summary:
The Utility Processor is responsible for sorting, examining, and preparing donated goods for either resale or shipment. This role requires adherence to quality standards and safety regulations while ensuring efficient workflow and organization within the work area.
Essential Job Functions:
Manually sort, clean, and categorize donated merchandise by type and condition through visual inspection. Examine items for flaws and determine suitability for resale according to established quality standards. Prepare merchandise for store shipment using appropriate equipment and materials. Track sorting metrics by maintaining tally sheets for equipment processed daily. Assist material handlers by placing filled or empty equipment in their designated locations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, adhering to company safety policies and procedures. Wear company-approved personal protective equipment while working. Fill in as needed for various roles, as assigned to meet production goals or if directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Review and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Carry out other assigned tasks.
Educational Requirements:
On-the-job training is over a period up to and including three(3)months.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs., standing, bending, and reaching.
