Job Description

IMMEDIATE FULL TIME OPENINGS
2nd shift: 330p-1130p Monday through Friday Gertrude Hawk Chocolates is a leader in the confectionery industry that manufactures exceptional chocolates. Founded in 1936, our business is financially strong and continues to grow.
POSITION SUMMARY
Perform all functions of inspecting, packaging and preparing product to ship according to customer specifications. Ensure the quality of the products by enforcing GMP (good manufacturing practices), Quality policy, safety and sanitation regulations. Essential Functions Statement(s ) Comply and enforce all company and department specific quality, safety, and GMP policies and procedures. Inspect product for quality and foreign objects according to company standards, policy and procedure. Ensure accurate weight and measurement of product being manufactured according to standard. Inspect and attend to metal detector and scale to assure operation accuracy. Package and safely palletize product according to standard by ensuring quality product, weight accuracy, appropriate labeling and accurate product content information. Prepare packaging supplies by securing accurate labels, appropriate individual inspection number and lot code, installing plastic bags and stocking packaging to meet production demands. Removal of completed pallet of product and obtaining set up of necessary packaging supplies. Perform material handling responsibilities as required. Assist with change overs and set up. Performs other assignments as directed.
