Job Title:
Cherry Picker Operator Job Description The Cherry Picker personnel play a key role in ensuring that orders are accurately picked, safely packed, and shipped on time. This position supports overall warehouse operations by handling products with care, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities Operate Cherry Picker Forklift Accurately pick products from inventory according to order requirements. Use handheld RF scanners or warehouse management systems to locate, track, and confirm items. Safely and securely pack products to prevent damage during transit. Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipment according to company standards. Load and unload trucks, ensuring shipments are processed efficiently and on schedule. Verify shipping documents and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records. Assist with general warehouse duties, including organizing stock and maintaining inventory accuracy. Support inventory counts and stock replenishment activities as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines while performing daily tasks. Essential Skills Ability to operate a Cherry Picker Forklift Ability to accurately pick, pack, and ship orders using RF scanners or similar devices. Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanning devices. Capability to lift, carry, and move packages up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products and documentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines. Willingness to follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus but not required. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is an asset. Background in packing, order picking, forklift operation, or material handling is beneficial. Comfort working in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a warehouse and distribution environment characterized by a fast-paced workflow and time-sensitive operations. You will work around racking, pallets, and material handling equipment while using RF scanners and basic computer systems to complete daily tasks. The role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, and moving packages up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
