The overall duties of this position are to aid the production floor by producing quality materials to re-use back into production. Remove scrap from the rigid line via forklift to be processed. Forklift experience/driver's license is necessary. This position will also need to be flexible on periodic schedule adjustments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Follows oral instructions. Operate grinders, aspirator and pulverizer after proper training. Move grinding carts by hand when necessary. Move grinding carts, 16-foot profile baskets, containers, etc. with forklift. Process scrap into grinders from the line and other sources. Clean out grinders to transition through material colors. Weighs, and records pounds of material ground and records it into production report. Must make sure that carts on the production floor are kept empty of scrap. Operates a forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Must make sure that ground scrap is free of contamination. Daily housekeeping of grinding department and surrounding area. Cycle count & maintain inventory of finished goods. Performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT

: Safety glasses and ear plugs are always required on the production floor by all team members. Steel toe boots that meet ANSI requirements are required for all team members working on the production floor. Hard hat, face shield mounted to hard hat, cut resistant gloves, cut resistant sleeves as necessary. Refer to Safety Handbook for other safety equipment requirements such as shoes and tools.

WORK CONDITIONS

(Noise, Temperature, etc.): Exposure to temperature variation consists of outside weather conditions. Hazards associated with working with Machinery. Hazards associated with using power tools. Hazards associated with being on your feet for long periods of time. Lunch/break times are at the discretion of workflow. All lunches/breaks are paid.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

High school graduates or GED required. Previous forklift experience preferred. Must be able to read/write and understand the English language. Must be able to compute basic math, adding, subtracting, multiplication & division. Must be able to use/read tape measures, calipers and saws. Computer skills/knowledge of general computer operations. Able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation. Must possess a valid PA driver's license and a working telephone. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to perform the essential job functions.
