Assembler / Packer - 1st Shift (Manufacturing) Job Description This role combines assembly and packaging responsibilities within a clean, high-tech manufacturing environment that produces automatic doors and related components. You will assemble mechanical parts to precise specifications, inspect and package products using proper materials, and operate various tools and equipment to support daily production, quality, and delivery requirements on a 1st shift schedule.

Pay/Shift:

$20hr / 6am-2:30pm Responsibilities Perform assembly and packaging tasks required in the manufacturing process of automatic doors and related components. Review job specifications and work instructions under the direction of the department leadership to understand daily production requirements and quality standards. Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and by gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Assemble sub-assemblies and components for correct fit, including headers, transoms, and door panels, according to established specifications. Use basic hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers to assemble and measure required parts. Operate equipment such as saws, lathes, and drill presses to fabricate and assemble shaft components as needed. Package headers, transoms, door panels, and other products to established standards using appropriate packaging materials. Inspect unassembled materials to verify proper quantity, quality, finish, shape, and components as requested by the customer. Retrieve and package parts using materials such as bubble wrap, paper, cardboard, wooden crates, and skids to protect products during shipment. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with potential flexibility in start and end times based on business needs. The work takes place in a clean, high-tech manufacturing environment with a higher-pressure pace driven by production and delivery requirements. You will work around and operate equipment such as saws, lathes, drill presses, weigh scales, staple guns, bagging machines, thermo printers, powered industrial trucks, manual pallet jacks, and gantry hoists. The role involves frequent use of basic hand tools, handling of packaging materials, and occasional preparation of parts for painting. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, and expects team members to be very detail oriented and comfortable working in a structured production setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reamstown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
