We are looking for a full-time non-exempt Batchmaker to follow duties on a daily basis as outline by Operations Manager to create a safe and efficient working environment putting the needs of completing duties in a timely manner with the intent of servicing the customer as the priority while maintaining a safe environment. Essential Functions Blend chemicals as scheduled by your team leader, in a safe and clean environment. Focusing on deadlines, efficiencies and producing a quality product. The Batchmaker Operator is expected to follow all SOP's (standard operating procedures), GMP's (Good Manufacturing Principles), and Food Safety Guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Review work order before starting. Any questions should be taken to your Team Leader. Per order to be blended, pull required materials from stock, blend, return materials back to stock after order is completed. Clean work area after each order is completed. Be prepared to assist in/or clean any area of the floor where spillage may have occurred. Must follow all programs to insure a safe, clean, and friendly environment. Assist co-workers when needed. Assist with the cleaning, equipment maintenance, and work area cleanliness. Assist with inventory stock. Ensure that materials are in their proper space and properly closed for storage. Assist with packaging of finished product. Follow all trainings and guidelines required by Silesia Flavors for your safety and in maintaining a healthy working environment for all. Adhere to Silesia's; Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) rules, and Quality Safety responsibilities. Monitor and document all necessary procedures as required by Silesia or regulatory bodies. Operate Forklift, dolly, and drum lift equipment. Participate in Safety training. Food Safety duties as assigned. Perform other duties as required. Required Education/Experience High school diploma or GED required. Previous compounding experience. Position involves use of respirator; must willing and able to comply with medical questionnaire and fit testing. Must be able to work in varied indoor conditions which may include; cold, heat, strong odors, loud noises, etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to perform moderate physical activity, including the ability to lift/ move fifty (50) pounds. Experience in food manufacturing a plus. Sit-down forklift experience/Certification is a plus. Work Environment Most work is performed in a laboratory or production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must wear appropriate personal safety protection equipment. This equipment will vary based upon the work location and type of work being performed but often will include safety glasses and may include protective clothing. Physical Demand The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to use a respirator as necessary. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to stand for extended periods and moderate physical activity. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be willing and able to comply with fit testing
