Job Description:
Kelly Services is hiring a temporary a Selector in a dynamic warehouse environment in Charlotte, NC. The main responsibilities will include operating an electric pallet jack, reach truck forklift, sit-down forklift, or order picker (cherry picker) to accurately select, label, and palletize products according to customer orders. You will use RF scanner technology, build and stage pallets for delivery, and perform equipment inspections before and after use.
Duties also include:
Hand selecting orders in fluctuating warehouse temperatures (non-climate controlled). Stacking products on pallets in line with safety and order requirements (e.g., heavy items not stacked on light ones, proper labeling, etc.). Stretch-wrapping products on the dock and preparing it for shipment. Supporting racking projects and warehouse organization as needed. Maintaining and safely operating assigned equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE). Completing all assigned tasks, including occasional overtime during holidays and weekends, until all products are selected and loaded.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Over 18 years old. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication). Physically able to lift 40-60 lbs unassisted. Experience with RF scanners (preferred). Basic warehouse inventory management skills. Experience operating an electric pallet jack, order picker, or reach truck forklift. Ability to consistently meet productivity and accuracy targets. At least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in inventory management. Previous experience driving forklifts. Strong math and numeracy skills.
No high school diploma/GED required. No certifications required. Training provided on an ongoing basis. Onsite position; remote work is not available. Face-to-face interview with 1-2 interviewers (one interview required).
Temporary contract:
