Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Picker/Packer and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products, packing orders efficiently, and ensuring timely shipment to our customers. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help us maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Use order picker equipment, barcode scanners, RF scanners, and manual handling tools to accurately select items from designated warehouse locations. Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials while adhering to quality control standards. Load and unload shipments with proper safety protocol adherence, ensuring correct placement and inventory accuracy. Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS) and perform regular stock checks. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against orders and updating inventory systems accordingly. Follow safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe manual handling techniques. Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, order fulfillment, and preparing items for shipment. Conduct quality control checks to ensure order accuracy before dispatching products. Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations, improve workflow efficiency, and uphold safety standards. Experience Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks is highly desirable; certification is a plus. Knowledge of inventory management systems (including barcode scanning for logistics) and RF scanners is beneficial. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely are essential. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse environment; PPE use is mandatory at all times. Experience in order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, or warehouse supervision enhances your fit for this role but is not required.
