Job Description

TITLE:
Packer (2nd Shift)
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Packages and inspects materials and products.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. High school diploma or equivalent, no prior experience or training
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs highly repetitive trimming, flaming, assembly, inspection, counting, and packaging of injection and/or blow molded components and parts Visually inspects product for defects as defined in the QAS (Quality Assurance Standard) Counts parts and individual packages within cases either by stack height or weight as required Ensures that cases are labeled correctly, in the proper sequence, stamped with an operator/packer stamp, and stacks cases on pallets Performs secondary operations as required Reworks/sorts defective product as necessary Maintains a steady rate of work as to meet or exceed standard labor costs Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
