About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Clean and Brake Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for inspecting, preparing, and processing panels to meet accuracy and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tools, following technical sketches, and ensuring precise fabrication processes.
Requirements:
Review in-house instructions for each job and update clock-in numbers as needed. Verify panel dimensions and special instructions, such as CEG, coping, hemming, countersinking, and cutting, by checking the provided sketches. Inspect and test all tools for accuracy and proper functionality, using scrap material if necessary. Clean and smooth panel edges as needed. Perform countersinking when required, ensuring the correct depth. Carry out any special processing needs for the panel, such as CEG and other modifications. Set up the
ALU-BENDER
correctly for each job. Process panels through the bender, then manually fold any areas the machine does not handle. Inspect folds and corners for quality and accuracy, performing a final check before moving forward. Label and check off completed panels. Properly place finished panels on an A-frame or move them down the production line. Qualifications & Skills Experience in metal fabrication, panel processing, or a related field is preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Familiarity with tools and machinery used in panel fabrication. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to follow processes accurately. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Capability to lift and move materials as required. Dexterity to handle tools and machinery safely and effectively.
