Full Job Description Hours:
M-F = 3pm to 12am Position Summary The primary duty of a Packaging Associate is to put together products and the various pieces that go together to form finished products on a production line. This may include filling, bottling, labeling, packaging and lifting. This position reports directly to the Production Manager or Supervisor. Employee Responsibilities Adhere to cGMP and SOPs. Report any situations that might have a negative effect on food safety or quality immediately to supervisor or QA Department. Ensure food safety and quality are maintained according to company standards. Comply with policies and procedures to prepare and pack products under sanitary conditions that do not expose it to the risk of contamination. Operate and maintain a clean and hygienic standard of operation. Follow Company cGMP's (Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Policies at all times) Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Works on a production line to pack and package products. Ensures that the products are packaged properly and efficiently and that they meet required specifications. Responsibilities within the line include filling, bottling, labeling and packaging. Places lids, scoops, and desiccants while working inside the powder room. Performs job duties in other lines as needed. Operates production machinery on a production line. Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments. Identifies defective components. Cleans the production line as needed throughout the workday. Maintains accurate records and documentation pertaining to production, such as, logs, records of units produced, and records of errors resulting in rejected or discarded products. Follows all safety protocols and stays aware of surroundings to react accordingly. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Adheres to cGMP and SOPs. Follow instructions given by supervisor or line lead. Report any situations that might have a negative effect on food safety or quality immediately to supervisor or QA Department. Ensures food safety and quality are maintained according to company standards. Comply with policies and procedures to prepare and pack products under sanitary conditions that do not expose it to the risk of contamination. Operate and maintain a clean and hygienic standard of operation. Follow Company cGMP's (Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Policies at all times) Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Food safety standards and regulations. Knowledge of cGMPs Ability to manage processes and procedures. Ability to manage team members effectively. Ability to work in an environment with inside/outside extreme temperatures and in noisy environments. Able to perform repetitive tasks. Sharp attention to detail Ability to follow directions. Ability to do basic math.
EDUCATION
: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: (change as needed, depending on physical demand (sedentary, etc.) The job requires the ability to move around freely and work in a typical production line environment. It also involves handling various equipment, parts, and ingredients. Must be capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 15 pounds. Additionally, they should be able to bend, twist, and reach as well as perform overhead reaching tasks.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments (i.e. general office, industrial complexes, food processing plants, semiconductor labs, clean rooms, etc., some of which can be hazardous). Temperature variances, high noise levels, and dusty environments may be encountered.
