Spherion Staffing is hiring an experienced packer for a metal fabricator in Sherman.
The Packer handles, inspects, and packages finished aluminum products to ensure they meet customer quality standards and shipping specifications.
Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection:
Inspect extruded aluminum pieces for visual defects, damage, or structural inconsistencies.
Packaging & Wrapping:
Wrap, strap, and bundle aluminum extrusions using proper materials (e.g., stretch wrap, cardboard, banding).
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate packaging equipment, including banders, stretch-wrap machines, and saws.
Labeling & Staging:
Label finished bundles according to work orders and organize them in designated staging zones.
Safety & Cleanliness:
Adhere to safety guidelines, wear required Personal Protective Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00
PM Skills:
Heavy Lifting:
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs throughout a shift.
Physical Stamina:
Comfort standing, bending, and carrying material across long 12-hour shifts.
Environment Resilience:
Capability to work effectively in non-climate-controlled factory conditions (heat and cold).
Education:
No Degree Required ...

Qualifications:
Experience:
No prior experience required; client provides on-the-job training (previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus).
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, as well as stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
