Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Candy Packer to join our manufacturing team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging a variety of confectionery products efficiently and accurately, ensuring all items meet quality standards and safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced production environment where teamwork and attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and eager to learn about manufacturing processes in the candy industry. Duties Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols Pack candies into designated containers, ensuring correct labeling and presentation according to product specifications Perform quality checks on finished products, identifying and addressing any packaging defects or inconsistencies Handle materials and finished goods with proper materials handling equipment, including forklifts if certified Assist with assembly tasks related to packaging components or product preparation as needed Follow FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety standards throughout all tasks Maintain accurate production documentation, including logs for materials used, quantities packed, and quality checks performed Support warehouse operations by organizing packaging supplies and managing inventory levels Skills Knowledge of manufacturing facility operations and packaging equipment operation Familiarity with
GMP, FDA
regulations, and safety standards in production environments Ability to interpret production documents and follow detailed instructions precisely Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting skills Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately Proficiency in materials handling, heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), and warehouse operations including forklift operation (certification preferred) Strong adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing setting Mechanical troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve equipment issues during production shifts.
