Job Description
Seasonal Staff for Consolidated Dock Tailored Brands is a leading omnichannel specialty retailer of menswear, including suits, formalwear and a broad selection of business casual offerings. About the Job As a Seasonal staff, you must be dependable, responsible, and able to work at a fast pace while always being able to occupy yourself with new tasks as needed. You must also be a team player with a solid work ethic who is always prompt, on time, and committed to maintaining consistent work attendance. It will also be important that you display exceptional attention to detail as well as the adaptability to move to a different position in the shipping environment as required. What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities The consolidated dock is seeking a hardworking, dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated team player to join their department. The responsibilities of this position are to perform all tasks involved in loading and unloading and preparing merchandise for shipment. This includes but is not limited to:
- Operate lift equipment to load and unload merchandise and equipment on trailers in compliance with standard operating procedures following a schedule
- Transport and store merchandise, materials, products, and freight in designated areas around warehouse
- Prepare outbound shipments, along with receiving and staging inbound merchandise following standard operating procedures
- File documents and maintain records for accuracy and accountability
- Create driver logs, bill of lading paperwork, and daily job worksheets
- Inspect and pay close attention to detail to ensure all merchandise and other equipment are put on proper trailers for dispatch
- Provide immediate feedback to management regarding any discrepancies
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure accurate inventory of merchandise
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit and supporting company's goals and objectives
- Report on all maintenance or safety issues requiring corrective action
- Must always maintain a professional and positive attitude with the highest level of customer service
- Ensure and promote a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Available to work in all areas of production as needed
- Complete special projects as needed, and any additional duties assigned by management team Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required, additional education is a plus
- Minimum of one year's experience in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution center environment with strong work ethics and a high degree of excellence
- Working knowledge in the use of warehouse technology including radio frequency scanners, material handling equipment and machinery, sorter systems, conveyors, metal hooks, plastic bags and packaging, cardboard boxes, tape dispensers, and other materials necessary to the production and packaging of our merchandise
- Must have knowledge of dock procedures, proper loading and unloading, safe lifting, and freight securement techniques
- Ability to meet deadlines, productivity standards, and complete work in a timely manner
- Security awareness and ability to recognize, prevent, and address any issues regarding loss and damage of merchandise and equipment
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, organize with good hand-eye coordination
- Good communication and people skills are required with excellent command of the English language
- Good mathematical and counting skills required
- Knowledge of basic computer PC skills
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and follow directions
- Must be customer service oriented
- Must have an excellent ability to pay attention to detail and maintain accuracy
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Reporting - Working Relationships

- Continuously standing, walking, sitting, reaching and working overhead, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, and crawling
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
- Frequent use of ladders and/or lift equipment
- Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more Please note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered.
