Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Set up and operate assigned coil-processing equipment. Load, unload, position, and adjust steel coils and other materials. Monitor equipment and make adjustments as needed. Follow work orders and customer specifications. Inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met. Accurately use tape measures and other measuring tools. Package, palletize, label, and band finished materials. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes after completing company-provided training and certification. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Manufacturing, machine-operation, steel-processing, or warehouse experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate. Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and safety procedures. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools or willingness to learn. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Prolonged standing and walking. Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts. Ability to work near moving machinery and in areas with continuous loud noise.
