He/She transports products from local parts sources and delivers them to our dealership and ensures that the parts delivery truck(s) are maintained in a safe and operable condition. He/She also picks up and delivers parts for technicians in the Service department, assists with the shipping and receiving of vehicle parts, and helps with the maintenance and organization of the Parts inventory. He/She must maintain a working relationship with all members of the Parts and Service staff. The Delivery Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times and provides outstanding customer service and represents the Dealership in a professional manner. The ideal candidate has an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record. Candidates must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles. Strong communication and customer service skills are required. Responsibilities Ensures safe and on-time delivery of parts to the dealership using company vehicles and following all company procedures and standards Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures Maintains cleanliness and ensures safe operation of vehicles Obeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road Collects any payments required upon delivery Loads part trucks in such a way as to prevent damage to parts being transported, securing all items in the bed of the truck Retrieves returned parts and reports them to the Parts Manager or responsible Counter Person Provides efficient and timely delivery of parts to technicians Maintains physical inventory by keeping stock in proper location and keeping bin labels and location designation up to date Assists with shipping and receiving duties Helps to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the parts department Delivers packages and mail to outside departments as needed Performs additional duties as directed by management Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Experience preferred Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record Must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects and heavy vehicle parts Must provide professional service to all vendors and customers Company Description The Automotive Industry is thriving and Mark Miller Toyota is always looking for great people to add to our team!
