Job Title:
Fulfillment Specialist Job Description The Fulfillment Specialist plays a key role in the Centralized Services Pharmacy Fulfillment Center by accurately processing and shipping customer orders. This position ensures prescriptions move efficiently through receiving, picking, packing, and shipping while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and inventory accuracy. Responsibilities Receive, scan, and process incoming prescriptions and materials using radio frequency (RF) scanners. Pick and pack prescription orders accurately and efficiently according to established procedures. Audit orders to verify accuracy before shipment, ensuring all items match order and inventory records. Track all inbound and outbound items through RF scanning to maintain accurate and accountable inventory records. Enter and verify orders in the inventory management system to ensure real-time inventory accuracy. Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and staging for carrier pickup. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, ensuring all Fulfillment Center areas remain orderly and free of debris. Follow and uphold quality standards and operating procedures established by leadership. Handle materials and products safely, including pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, and carrying items as needed. Collaborate with team members and support a smooth workflow across receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Essential Skills Ability and willingness to work a flexible shift schedule, including early morning hours. Ability and willingness to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability and willingness to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Experience using RF scanners for tracking inventory and processing orders, or ability to learn quickly. Attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and verifying orders. High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in fulfillment, order picking, packing, or material handling in a warehouse or distribution environment. Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanning technology. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Reliability and consistency in meeting performance and quality expectations. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a Centralized Services Pharmacy Fulfillment Center and follows an AM shift schedule of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You will work primarily on your feet, standing for extended periods and moving throughout the facility. The environment involves frequent use of RF scanners, inventory management systems, and standard warehouse equipment for picking, packing, and material handling. The facility operates with a strong focus on cleanliness, organization, and safety, with work areas kept orderly and free of debris. You will handle physical tasks such as lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, as well as pushing, pulling, and grasping materials as part of daily operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mechanicsville, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
