Job Title:
Packager 1 Job Description This role offers opportunities in general production, machine operation, and warehouse support within a busy manufacturing environment. You will help keep operations running smoothly and safely by handling materials, operating basic equipment, and supporting production and packaging activities across 1st and 2nd shifts, with limited 3rd shift availability. Responsibilities Assist with daily production and warehouse tasks to support smooth and efficient operations. Load, unload, move, and organize materials and products throughout the facility. Support packaging, packing, and labeling activities to prepare products for shipment or storage. Handle physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. Essential Skills Willingness to learn new tasks and follow detailed instructions. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials for the duration of the shift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality to support production schedules. Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting daily goals and quality standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general production, general labor, or warehouse work is helpful but not required for many roles. Familiarity with packaging, packing, and inspection processes in a manufacturing environment. Experience with assembly work or construction-related tasks, including reading blueprints, is beneficial. Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing facility where most positions work indoors in production, machine operation, or warehouse areas. The environment is active and fast-paced, with frequent movement of materials and products. There are limited opportunities for hybrid indoor/outdoor roles for those who prefer a mix of working inside and outside. Work is performed around production machinery, packaging equipment, and material-handling tools, and may involve standing, walking, lifting, and moving items throughout the shift while following safety and cleanliness standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
