Work in an environment that prioritizes your growth, trust, and collaboration Packaging duties and responsibilities include: Effectively operate a forklift to complete packaging duties Packages sand products in totes products weighing 3,000-4,000 lbs. Stores and organize and prep totes for shipment based on customer orders Load and secure product totes onto trucks and rail cars for shipment Maintain efficiency and quality goals Complete work area inspections for hazards, defects, and environmental issues Documents and communicates issues to ensure repairs are completed timely General cleanup and housekeeping General understanding of plant production areas Assist with dry production area of plant Other tasks and responsibilities within the Fairwater Sand Plant as needed High School Diploma or equivalent Prior experience working in a process or manufacturing setting a plus Forklift experience Efficient in reading and basic math Legible handwriting Basic computer skills and experience with business systems Excellent communication skills Ability to work in all weather conditions Ability to operate office equipment Ability to be a safety leader by being liaison to all visitors, inspections of work areas and ensuring proper documentation The Packaging Associate is responsible for packaging operations within the Dry Plant and will participate in cross-training across plant functions to support operational flexibility. This role packages, stores, and transfers sand products in accordance with production requirements and quality standards. The Associate operates mobile equipment, including forklifts, to transport materials and to load packaged products onto trucks and railcars for shipment. As part of the Dry Plant team, this position plays a key role in ensuring sand products are properly packaged, stored, and prepared for distribution in a safe and efficient manner.
