Job Description
Description 2nd Shift 2pm to 10pm Summary Of Position After label jobs are completed on the press, a Finisher is responsible for inspecting the quality of work looking for flaws and/or imperfections in the material and the print. The Finisher must also package, rewind or fanfold the product to the specifications of each customer, and prepare the product for shipping. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Inspects labels for quality defects as required per the production checklist Efficiently and effectively operates finishing equipment such as Hand Tables, Rotoflex DLI, Rotoflex HSI, Siat and Shrink Wrapper Prioritizes workload based on ship date, or as directed Fanfolds completed labels to customer specifications from press roll Packages completed order using shrink wrapper to protect product in shipping process Weighs sheeted packs for appropriate count and packages per customer specifications Rewinds label rolls after press production to ensure product is finished to job ticket requirements Accurately enters job data into computer for traceability Identifies material problems and/or shortages. Notifies management accordingly Prepares and packages product for shipping. Communicates internally regarding any concerns or potential late work orders Acts as Shipping backup as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Knowledge and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively and efficiently Excellent attention to detail, communication and organizational skills Functions with a team mentality, but able to work independently as needed Basic computer skills Able to lift up to 50 lbs
