What You'll Do:
As a Shipping and Packaging Specialist you are a critical member of the Operations team and overall company helping to ensure quality product is shipped on time to our customers. Our Shipping team plays a vital role in helping ensure our products deliver on our value proposition of being "Rugged, Reliable, and Responsive."Position Responsibilities:
Ensuring accuracy of customer orders through verifying quantities and identification of all items and proper labeling of packages. Packages items to prevent damage in transit. Follow special packing instructions when provided by Sales Department. Package miscellaneous materials that relate to Gamber-Johnson business Assist in determining cause of packaging/shipping related problems and complaints when asked by shipping team lead. Collect, report, and generate data to maintain shipping records. Perform a variety of tasks to support the Material Handlers and shipping team. Actively participate in team problem solving, process improvement, and decision-making. Make recommendations to improve materials, processes and quality within the manufacturing area. Provide performance feedback, coaching, and associate development when needed. Advise team leader when supplies are needed. Complete special assignments as requested by the Team Lead or Warehouse Supervisor. Comply and assist with all requirements ofISO 9001
2015 and the pursuit of continuous improvement.
