Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Industrial Supply Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain operations for industrial materials and equipment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management processes to ensure the seamless supply of high-quality materials essential for manufacturing and operational excellence. Your expertise will drive cost efficiencies, foster strong supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with procurement regulations. Responsibilities Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on category management and strategic sourcing. Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and E-procurement platforms to optimize purchasing activities. Lead contract negotiations with vendors, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining compliance with procurement regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Oversee vendor contract management, supplier performance evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supply chain resilience. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and project teams to align procurement activities with production planning and materials management. Conduct root cause analysis for supply disruptions or quality issues, implementing corrective actions promptly. Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to proactively adjust sourcing strategies and mitigate potential impacts. Experience Proven experience in procurement management within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in supply chain management. Extensive vendor contract management experience, including direct negotiation of procurement contracts and familiarity with public sector purchasing processes. Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms; proficiency in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, category management projects, and procurement negotiations effectively. Strong understanding of procurement regulatory frameworks including FAR regulations; experience in federal or government contracting is a plus. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement across diverse teams.
