About the company Our client builds AI compute infrastructure at gigawatt scale, delivering one of the largest data centre programmes in the world. Their advantage is a modular build that goes up faster than anything else in the industry- and that speed depends entirely on supply chain. The mandate for this team is blunt: keep procurement permanently off the critical path. We are hiring two Category Managers, one for each category below. Both roles are titled Sourcing Manager internally. Category Manager
- Electrical You will own the electrical category
- switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators and busway.
Desirable:
MV/HV equipment- utility-scale generation
- OFCI programmes
- factory witness testing Category Manager
- Steel You will own the steel category
- structural steel and fabricated assemblies feeding both the modular manufacturing line and the site builds.
- material, labour, coatings and freight
- and where each shop makes its margin Experience qualifying fabrication shops, including identifying overstated capacity Commodity exposure managed through indexing or hedging
Desirable:
AISC-certified fabrication networks- modular construction
- weld quality programmes
- oversize load logistics Background A data centre background is not required for either role.
- heavy equipment and machinery OEMs buying large weldments, wind tower and utility structure manufacturers, process skid and module fabricators, solar tracker manufacturers, or modular construction.
