Wepartner with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, healthcare, food andbeverage producers, automotive and tooling innovators, and both contractresearch organizations (CROs) and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs)to keep their operations running at peak performance. About theRole:
As a CBRE Procurement Manager, you'll own managing a team ofemployees responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing parts andoutsourced services for our laboratory services business. You will also assist thebusiness with the development and execution of sourcing agreements andprocurement strategies. This job is part of the Procurement function which isresponsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, services, or raw materials fromvendors and suppliers.What You'll Do:
Coordinate and manage your team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Work with business stakeholders, operational shared services team members, and sponsors to develop, coordinate, and execute strategy at local and regional levels. Work within procurement platform (Coupa) and work order management systems to align part and supplier costs with customer work orders and billing Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and other business documents in support of the purchase of goods and services. Review the process of contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals. Inform peers and corporate management staff of changes or results. Manage supplier and contractor certification process. Conduct periodic visits to supplier work locations to review vendor performance. Analyze business-wide spend, parts costs, suppliers, operations, and statement of works to identify opportunities for value creation and cost reduction. Assist with creating RTFs, selecting solutions, and negotiating. Prepare and maintain contracts with national and regional service providers. Ensure contracts adhere to company standards. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent withCBRE RISE
values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-7 years of relevant experience in procurement and prior management experience . In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred. Experience procuring parts and/or services in the lab services space Experience working in procurement platform. Coupa preferred Experience with a work order management system desirable Understanding of, and ability to work with, 1000s of SKUs to support 1000s of different types of laboratory instruments Understanding of buy to order and buy to stock models and how to apply them Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching,. Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. Why CBRE? The minimum salary for the Procurement Manager is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Procurement Manager position is $140,000 annually.
