With a global presence and a reputation for excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team and drive our procurement strategies to new heights. Position Overview We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee all aspects of our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires proficiency in ERP systems, AS9100 quality management standards, and strategic sourcing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management:
Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on predetermined criteria Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and continuously assess their performance Implement supplier development programs to enhance capabilities and drive continuous improvement
Procurement Process Management:
Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to payment Develop and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality management standards in all procurement activities Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their procurement needs Manage the resolution of supplier-related issues and disputes
Cost Reduction and Inventory Optimization:
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain Analyze spend data and market trends to drive strategic sourcing decisions Optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency and production requirements Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve working capital management Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness
ERP System Management:
Utilize and optimize the ERP system for all procurement-related activities Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the ERP system Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making processes Collaborate with IT to implement system enhancements and upgrades Train and support team members in the effective use of the ERP system
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals Set clear goals and objectives for the procurement team Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
