GPS, GIS

(Geographic Information Systems), and transportation management systems like Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to plan optimal routes and monitor fleet movements. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Track shipments using GPS and telematics tools; update data entry logs accurately within transportation management platforms. Manage dispatching operations for freight movement, including shipping & receiving coordination and fleet management oversight. Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies, troubleshoot delays, and implement process improvements aligned with supply chain objectives. Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and incident reports to ensure compliance and transparency. Experience Proven experience in dispatching within the transportation or logistics industry, preferably with exposure to 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers. Strong familiarity with transportation planning, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices. Proficiency in using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or AS400; experience with SyteLine is a plus. Excellent analysis skills to interpret GPS data, GIS mapping tools, and logistics metrics for operational optimization. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating professionalism through phone etiquette and clear messaging. Adept at data entry and managing multi-line phone systems in fast-paced environments; typing speed is advantageous.
