Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory & Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing, raw material procurement, inventory control, and customer-specific inventory requirements. This position will ensure materials are available when needed, inventory records remain accurate, and purchasing and receiving documentation is properly maintained. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Purchase raw materials based on confirmed Purchase Orders and production requirements. Maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent material shortages. Monitor supplier orders, availability, pricing, lead times, and deliveries. Source materials for new samples, special projects, and customer requests. Prepare material cost estimates for samples and special projects. Prepare and maintain daily inventory reports. Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or discrepancies. Conduct month-end physical inventory counts and compare results with system records and the Assistant Plant Manager. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Record materials ordered and inventory transactions in Fishbowl. Review and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records. Scan and file supplier packing lists in Dropbox. packing lists and Certificates of Conformance (COCs) to Accounting for payment processing. Source and track materials required for customer samples. Prepare material cost estimates for samples. Provide timely updates regarding material availability and shipment status. Communicate inventory shortages, purchasing issues, supplier delays, and other concerns promptly. Assist with improving purchasing and inventory procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, materials management, or manufacturing preferred. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Excellent communication and follow-through. Strong computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems. Fishbowl experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers. Bilingual Spanish required
