This role manages purchasing staff, partners with internal departments to understand requirements, and drives improvements in procurement efficiency and effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Develop procurement strategies and policies aligned with organizational goals Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers while negotiating favorable contracts and terms Prepare delivery and shortage reports for internal and external stakeholders Support leadership in meeting working capital targets Implement risk management procedures to ensure continuity of supply Maintain and update the Approved Supplier List across all supplier tiers Train purchasing team members on tools, systems, and procedures Participate in system improvement projects involving ERP, scanning tools, portals, and quality systems Support quality and engineering teams with component analysis and risk reduction Collaborate with engineering on insourcing activities Approve purchase orders and ensure technical requirements are communicated to suppliers Comply with all security, safety, and company policies Experience and Skills Requirements 5 to 7 years of experience in supply chain, supplier management, or procurement Strong negotiation skills and experience securing favorable supplier terms Ability to select, evaluate, and manage suppliers for quality and reliability Adaptable, motivated, and results oriented Ability to analyze data, track metrics, and perform cost analysis Experience working with cross-functional teams Solid financial understanding and cost-conscious decision making Willingness to learn and apply lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kanban, pull systems, and value stream mapping Understanding of demand management, procurement, supplier relations, MRP, capacity evaluation, S&OP, master scheduling, performance measurement, quality control, and continuous improvement Physical Requirements Frequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday Ability to lift and move materials under 50 lbs Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required Salary- $120k-$145k KPG123
