As the Category Manager, Direct Materials your responsibilities will be as follows: Your day to day:Strategic Planning :
Design, implement and monitor procurement strategies to ensure supply security, meet financial and budget objectives and mid to long term category developments.Technical Expertise :
Use your knowledge of direct materials and procurement processes to evaluate supply markets and select the best suppliers.Supplier Relationship Management:
Lead negotiations and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality, price and service.Quality & Compliance:
Oversee the selection and quality of materials, ensure compliance with PMI and Regulatory standards.Process Optimization:
Design and implement programs to streamline products and processes to realize productivity by challenging status quo.Documentation & Compliance:
Review and approve contracts and price lists to ensure accurate documentation and supplier performance measurement.Leadership:
Guide and motivate decentralized procurement team members and stakeholders to foster growth and development. Who we're looking for:Experience :
8 to 10 years in Purchasing, Planning, Development or Quality Assurance functions, with significant experience in purchasing, product development, and quality management working in a multinational environment.Market Knowledge :
In-depth understanding of the supply market and related service categories. A university degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering. Fluency in English. Strong skills in financial analysis In-depth knowledge of negotiation techniques. Good command of process engineering. Strong project management skills. Effective time management.
