Job Description

Blue Origin project
Responsibilities:
As part of a hardworking team of professionals, specialists, and engineers, you will develop strategic procurement solutions and complete day to day tactical purchasing functions for various spaceflight systems. In this role, you will be a fully embedded member of the Blue Origin project delivery team, working in Blue Origin systems and providing direct support Blue Origin Procurement Management. Ensures requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet the needs of Blue Origin Foster proper engagement with the program functional teams and facilitate communication of requirements and status to program and business area stakeholders Establish competence in Blue Origin Supply Chain compliance standards, strategies, and initiatives, especially in regard to machine parts, requirements, and program integration Prepare and issuing Requests for Proposal, performing cost analysis in support of proposals, and have developed negotiation strategies and led formal negotiations Work within an existing team that places subcontracts/purchase orders of varying complexity in accordance with all regulatory and corporate compliance requirements This position requires technical leadership competencies to form strategies to construct various contracting types for major procurement activities to meet the requirements of the programs and needs of the business to include continuous improvement initiatives, and identification of opportunities for enhanced efficiencies Key candidate attributes to facilitate success in this role include influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Within the overall restoration program, Blue Origin has established fourteen (14) Lines of Effort (subprojects) ranging from reclamation and restoration of major structural elements (including vertical structures) to highly complex piping, power and controls systems related to liquid fuel (cryogenic) systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study - examples might include Construction Management, Business, Accounting or Finance - preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education at the discretion of Blue Origin. 7-10 years of Purchasing experience is required. The candidate MUST be available for temporary assignment to Cape Canaveral, FL area to provide full-time onsite presence for starting after June 15 but before July 15, 2026 and willingness to see the project through to completion, currently forecast for late October 2026. US Citizenship or legal residency required. Ability to pass a Background Screen Ability to deploy to the project site. These are not remote or hybrid work opportunities.
