  • WSP is currently initiating a search for
  • On Call Emergency Managers, Procurement with the potential to work out of any WSP USA office.
  • Emergency management cadre positions are
  • on-call
  • and assignments are
  • on an as-needed basis
  • . Cadre members are not eligible for benefits. Cadre members are typically asked for a 30 day commitment; and must have availability to deploy with little to no advance notice (typically within 24-48 hours); During deployments, there is the potential of working 8-12 hours/day; 7 days/week.
  • Your Impact
  • + Support Emergency Management team in servicing clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories.

+ Deploy to Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster.

+ Perform a variety of duties including logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions.

+ Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility.

+ Support Emergency Management Project Management functions.

+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

  • Who You Are
  • Required Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in emergency management or equivalent.

+ 5+ years of emergency management experience. City, County, District or State-level emergency management experience preferred

+ Prior project procurement/administrative experience in Emergency Management, and broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques. Strong knowledge of ERP Systems/Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, SAP.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook (Email), Word, and Excel.

+ FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series certification.

+ Travel Required - Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations up to a minimum of 30 days.

+ Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.

+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Thorough understanding of Postal, Various State Subcontracting, FAR, DFAR, FTA and DOT regulations.

+ Prevailing Wage expertise such as Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon Wages.

+ Works well under pressure and able to handle change in priorities.

+ Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience.

+ Previous experience working at Field Staging Areas or state Emergency Operations Center or related environment.

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting tools.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $40-45/hour
