Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our corporate purchasing and inventory management efforts across all locations. In this role, you will oversee sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, ensure product availability, and ensure the timely acquisition of products. Your expertise will drive cost savings, optimize inventory levels, support branch operations, sales, and central distribution, and drive continuous improvements initiatives throught the supply chain. Responsibilities Lead and develop the purchasing team through coaching, training, and performance management. Oversee procurement operations and the purchase order lifecycle. Negotiate vendor pricing, terms, freight programs, and vendor rebate agreements. Evaluate supplier performance and build strategic vendor partnerships. Collaborate with operations, sales, and distribution teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Analyze inventory performance metrics, including inventory turns, service levels, excess inventory, and obsolescence. Develop and maintain inventory stocking strategies across multiple branch locations. Support ERP-based purchasing and inventory management processes. Drive continuous improvement projects focused on supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, and service excellence. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management experience Experience within an industrial distribution, bearing, power transimission, or related industry experience preferred Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a customer-facing environment. Strong knowledge of procurement process, supply chain planning, inventory control, and vendor management Experience with ERP systems Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test, background/reference check.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
