Director of Purchasing Crew Carwash, Inc. - 3.9 Fishers, IN Job Details 4 hours ago Qualifications Construction negotiation Team leadership Managing procurement teams Procurement cost reduction targets Negotiating purchasing contracts Full Job Description Position Summary The Director of Purchasing is responsible for leading Crew's purchasing function as the company scales from 60 to 100 locations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Purchasing is responsible for efficient and effective management of vendors and contracts across the organization. The Director is Crew's lead negotiator, the architect of a consolidated and accountable vendor base, and the day-to-day leader and coach of the Purchasing team. This is a hands-on, results-driven leadership role. The Director of Purchasing will be focused on building a best-in-class Purchasing department built on tight governance, efficient processes, fully utilized systems and a lean team. The Director will partner closely with the CFO, CEO, and EVP, leveraging Crew's procurement systems while owning the procurement process, policy, and outcomes. Essential Job Functions Lead, Supervise, Support and Develop the Purchasing Team Procurement Systems & Technology Procurement Strategy Governance, Policy, and Contract Management Cross-Functional Partnership Strategic Negotiations & Key Vendor Relationships New/Existing Location Procurement Job Qualifications 10-12 years of progressive procurement and purchasing experience, with at least 5 years leading procurement teams. Multi-unit, retail, hospitality, restaurant, convenience, or other multi-site service-industry experience strongly preferred; car wash industry experience is not required. Demonstrated track record of vendor consolidation and the dollar savings that follow. Demonstrated track record of leading large CapEx procurement: General Contractor negotiations and equipment / FF&E sourcing. Demonstrated record as a hard, principled, and creative negotiator.
