Job Description

Purchasing Director :
Mid America Health is seeking a full- time Purchasing Director to join our home office team in Greenwood, IN. This is an onsite position that will be responsible for ordering supplies, coordinating repair of equipment, and providing support to the Operations Management team. The Purchasing Director is responsible for leading Mid America Health's purchasing, inventory, equipment, and vendor management operations across multiple service divisions. This position ensures uninterrupted clinical operations by managing procurement, budgets, inventory, equipment lifecycle, vendor relationships, and logistics while maintaining accurate documentation within the organization's project management and inventory systems. The Purchasing Director partners with leadership, clinical teams, field staff, finance, and vendors to improve operational efficiency, control costs, and support the successful launch and maintenance of mobile and fixed dental clinics. This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring Mid America Health's clinical operations have the equipment, supplies, vendor support, and logistical coordination necessary to provide uninterrupted, high-quality dental care across all service locations. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized with an eye for detail, has exceptional customer service skills, and can work with a variety of personalities. This candidate must take initiative, be able to work independently, utilize outstanding problem-solving skills, and be able to handle a variety of tasks with a teachable spirit. The candidate should be able to adapt quickly to change and have a strong sense of balancing priorities. Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) are an absolute must. This opportunity offers full benefits including paid time off and paid holidays with medical, dental and vision insurance available along with a health savings account and 401K. Compensation for this position is between $65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience. This is an onsite position scheduled Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, purchasing systems, and project management software (experience with Monday.com preferred). Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance.
