North Andover, MA (Hybrid, 2-3 days a week in office) Position Summary The Purchasing Manager will lead procurement activities across a multi-site service operation, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required to support field and shop-based projects. This role is critical in managing vendor relationships, optimizing cost structures, and maintaining supply chain continuity in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement for materials, supplies, equipment, and third-party services Partner with operations and project teams to forecast purchasing needs tied to active and upcoming jobs Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to drive cost savings and margin improvement Develop and maintain preferred vendor relationships and sourcing strategies Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid project delays Implement and improve procurement processes, controls, and reporting Track and analyze spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Support integration of newly acquired businesses into centralized procurement processes Qualifications 5-10+ years of purchasing/procurement experience within industrial services, manufacturing, or construction environments Ideally Experience supporting project-based operations (job costing, materials tied to specific projects) Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced, and evolving environment Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsSimilar remote jobs
