Be a part of something special! Position Overview Lead the daily operations of the SEWP Procurement and Contract Execution (SPACE) team within the
NASA SEWP
Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) Program Management Office. This role combines high-level federal contract administration with hands-on supervisory management. You will oversee a team of five or more individual contributors, manage help desk ticket workflows, and serve as a primary liaison between contract holders, civil servants, and contractor leadership. Core Responsibilities Lead the SPACE contractor-side team to support
NASA SEWP
procurement support tasks. Manage team workload, delegate cases, and monitor metrics for a 5+ member help desk using ServiceNow. Oversee staffing plans, hiring, interviewing, and resource allocation alongside the External Engagement Department Manager. Provide general assistance and support to SEWP civil servant contracting staff in accordance with the FAR and NASA contracting regulations, including drafting documents, monitoring of vendor responses, and data entry, preparation, and management Review, edit, and correct draft contract documentation against the FAR, agency supplements, and local standards. Demonstrate understanding of SEWP processes, particularly the rules and procedures for contract holders. Develop an understanding of the SEWP program and related tools, including the ability to provide guidance to team on how to use them. Develop best practices, identify program operational needs, and deliver process training to the SPACE team members. Facilitate cross-functional communication across multiple SEWP internal teams to resolve outstanding project bottlenecks. Lead and participate in program briefings, public speaking engagements, and stakeholder meetings.
Minimum Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in related business, public administration, or technical field.
Certification :
Federal contracting certifications (e.g., FAC-C Professional) are highly preferred.
Experience:
Federal Contracting:
15+ years of experience within the federal government acquisition and contracting sector.
Supervisory Management:
5+ years of formal experience managing large multiple-award contracting instruments or GWACs valued at $500M+.
Regulatory Expertise:
4+ years of hands-on experience navigating the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and local agency supplements.
Federal IT Domain:
Recent experience (within the last 5 years) managing or supporting federal information technology initiatives.
Preferred Expertise Ticketing Systems:
Operational proficiency using help desk ticketing platforms like ServiceNow.
Federal Procurement Tools:
Familiarity with federal data systems including FPDS, CPARS, and related procurement repositories.
Software Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
