Develop procurement strategies for the annual procurement events, contract, spot and dedicated bids. Continuously innovate and refine the carrier strategy to create incremental year-over-year value, leveraging industry leading practices and technologies Execute deep level engagement analytics on carrier performance to influence/drive maximum KPI attainment, productivity, and other logistics initiatives Lead carrier development, execution, negotiation, and contracting for transportation suppliers Maintain and ensure the compliance of all operating authority, MSA, pricing agreements and certificate of insurance for all qualified carriers for company. Support and influence the business in the enforcement of compliance to deliver the least cost option. Industry Insights and guidance - maintain engagement with peer companies, professional organizations, trade associations, and academia to understand market factors impact on supply and demand. Bachelor's degree in business, business analytics, supply chain, logistics, or engineering is required. 5+ years of proven experience in transportation operations, procurement, fleet, or related field. Experience with TMS deployment and implementation preferred. Preferred Qualifications Position will have an opportunity for mix of remote and on-site work in Dallas, TX or Detroit, MI areas. Strong desire to understand leading-edge innovation and lead a transformational agenda. Ability to negotiate while maintaining partnerships across multiple entities. Strong analytical skills, finance background is desired. Strong collaboration and people development capability. Strong Carrier knowledge portfolio Experience in configuring, managing and using modern TMS is a plus.
