In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory control processes to ensure seamless supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will drive efficiency, optimize inventory levels, and foster strong supplier relationships, enabling our production teams to meet their goals effectively. Responsibilities:
Raw Materials Purchasing & Management (Sheet & Billet Steel / Aluminum) General Purchasing (Both Direct & Indirect) Vendor / Supplier Purchasing Management, MRO Supplies, Office Supplies, Cleaning Supplies, Etc. Pricing /
Timing Negotiation Supplier Vetting & Onboarding Vendor Invoice Receiving & Management Process Improvement & Digital Transition Skills:
Robust Knowledge Of Raw Materials Sources, Specifications, Tolerancing, OEM Standards & Local Supply Base (Predominantly Sheet & Billet Steel / Aluminum) Strategic Sourcing Supplier Negotiation Cost Analysis RFQ / Bid Management Supplier Relationship Management Inventory Management Risk Management Forecasting & Demand Planning Requirements Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials management within a manufacturing company environment. Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS for managing inventory control and supply chain operations. Demonstrated ability in logistics inventory management, demand planning, and production scheduling. Excellent supplier management experience with a track record of building effective vendor partnerships. Technical proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis and reporting purposes. Knowledge of inventory management systems, inventory control techniques, and lean manufacturing practices. Effective cross-functional communication skills to collaborate across departments seamlessly. Experience working with manufacturing companies that utilize MRP systems for production planning.
