Job Description

We are a growing modular manufacturing company focused on producing highquality, costeffective modular housing solutions to address the nation's affordable housing needs. Our facility combines modern manufacturing practices with a missiondriven approach to deliver durable, energyefficient housing solutions at scale. Job Summary The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities at our modular manufacturing facility. This role ensures the timely, costeffective sourcing of materials, components, and services required to support production schedules while maintaining quality, compliance, and supplier performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of manufacturing procurement, supply chain optimization, and vendor relationship management-preferably within construction, modular, or engineeredtoorder environments. Key Responsibilities Lead Purchasing and Materials departments to ensure efficient procurement and inventory management Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers Collaborate with internal teams to assess inventory needs and resolve supply issues Analyze market trends and delivery systems to identify sourcing opportunities Recommend supplier bids for approval to senior leadership Secure materials and supplies to meet production schedules Monitor budgets and recommend cost-saving measures Prepare reports on market conditions and merchandise costs Resolve vendor grievances and ensure contract compliance Administer NetSuite and OffSight systems for purchasing and inventory Mentor and train purchasing staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage departmental workflow Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for direct reports
Requirements:
Education :
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
Experience :
Five (5) years of experience in purchasing or related capacity, previous experience working with diverse populations preferred. Proven background in production environment.
CertificatesLicenses :
Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record. Certificate of personal auto liability insurance.
Other Requirements :
Understanding of business and management principles. Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the company. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate to others when Demonstrated ability to work within a team and independently.
