Job ID59804 Location Columbia Full/Part TimeFull-Time Hiring Department Facility Operations Job Description The Manager of Facilities Procurement and Inventory plays a crucial role in MU Facilities Operations, ensuring the efficient acquisition, management, and distribution of inventory valued at approximately $5 million annually. This position supports the operational needs of all departments within Campus Facilities, optimizing resources and maintaining high standards of service. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee purchasing activities for facilities inventory, ensuring compliance with university policies and budgetary guidelines.
  • Manage logistics and delivery processes, coordinating timely receipt and distribution of goods across campus.
  • Collaborate with all departments within MU Facilities Operations to assess procurement needs and support ongoing projects.
  • Utilize software programs including PeopleSoft, WebTMA, Maximo, and Microsoft Office products to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, monitor usage, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality and reliability of supplies. Shift 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
  • Comparable experience or a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, retail management or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in procurement, inventory management, or facilities operations.
  • Must have the ability to become proficient with PeopleSoft, WebTMA, Maximo, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiation and contract management.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $90,000 annually
